due to the rise in popularity of the ‘french tuck’ caused singlehandedly by Tan from Queer Eye, there has been a parallel increase in people who can’t figure out how the fuck to do a french tuck. Especially with t-shirts which can be longer and not made of the kind of lighter, flowing material that is best suited to the style.
and so you get something like this
not great.
its okay though, the solution is simple!
first, start with your untucked shirt
then starting in the front middle, begin to roll the shirt under itself, rolling it up an inch or two
and then NOW we tuck. the rolled area section is tucked into the band of your preference of pants, skirt etc. and then adjusted as needed to achieve the desired effect.
the advantage of this method is two fold. firstly, it is easy to master and repeat. secondly, it keeps the tucked shirt just below the band of your pants/skirt and disguises any lumps/wrinkles of shirt fabric under tight bottoms such as leggings.
