so disappointing when a straighty doesn’t know how to act cool after you make a gay joke. like it’s not a moral failing or a friendship deal breaker but damn like i wish you practiced your “im politely but unobtrusively smiling (NOT nodding) at a joke made at the own expense of a minority group by a member of that group to which i don’t belong” face in the mirror a little longer this morning you know. i dont think im asking too much!
The other day at work someone was talking about their gay cousin to me and mentioned Stonewall, then asked if I knew about it.
I said that they don’t let you be gay if you don’t.
And it got like. Zero response. I’m funny dammit.
that’s funny as hell im pouring one out for every gay joke ever told to a straight person without a sense of gay humour
