kiwi anti-fascists organised a large (for kiwis, it was like 500+ people) and very successful counter protest against lauren southern and stefan molyneux speaking in auckland this evening. the venue cancelled on the fascists at the last minute (like 20 minutes after the announcement of the venue) and their entire event was called off but the anti-fascists met anyway in case the cancellation was a tactical move to undermine the protest and they sang and danced and had a grand old anti-fascist time.
lauren southern apparently turned up after the cancellation but disappeared before she thought anyone saw her when she realised the scale of opposition lmao.

the anarchists were there, the anti-poverty action group were there, people against prisons aotearoa were there, there were like 13 total groups involved in organising it and i’m real proud of the nz left for pulling together to form a united front against fascists.
