please please i am begging everyone on this godforsaken site to learn what a false equivalence is and also to learn how (lack of) access to legal, social, and economic power can change the impact of a person’s words
like we are 1/3 of the way into 2018 and i shouldn’t have to try to explain how homophobic jokes contribute to the ongoing cultural hostility against lgbt people while straight person jokes annoy uptight hets who don’t know how to laugh at themselves
