like, I Get, on an intellectual level, why heathenry has a white supremacist problem

but at the same time it continues to boggle my mind

like…….. they claim to speak for this god of wanderers, ever-hungering for knowledge, a frenzy of life and death

as if that god could be constrained by narrow definitions of what it is to be human

as if he could be reduced to a specific land or blood

as if he could be frozen in one lens of the past

what a poor and brief wandering that would be! shutting out experiences of Other lands and people. shutting out any new ideas or challenges to our worldview, for fear of an attack on the self. funnelling all our identity until at last it’s trapped in a museum somewhere. sitting preserved in limbo.

I don’t know who that god is.
