Only 4 MPs voted against the marriage equality bill in the House of Representatives.

The 4 MPs that sat on the wrong side of history in this amazing milestone are:

  1. Bob Katter (duh)
  2. Russel Broadbent (electorate voted yes in plebiscite)
  3. David Littleproud
  4. Keith Pitt (electorate voted yes in plebiscite)

Tony Abbott, Andrew Hastie, Michael Sukkar, Kevin Andrews, Scott Morrison, Alex Hawke and George Christensen all abstained from the vote. That means they neither voted yes or no.

What a resounding victory. What a beautifully overwhelming majority. So long homophobes. It’s time for progress.
