Tip for those talking to a chronically ill person: don’t ever say you’re jealous of a symptoms or part of chronic illness.

For example: never tell a person with ehlers danlos syndrome they’re lucky to be so flexible.

Or tell a person with Tourette’s you wish you could get away with swearing all the time.

Or tell someone how “lucky they are to miss so much school”.

Or how “nice it must be to not have to go to work”.

Or “I wish I could stay in bed all day”.

Or “i wish i could lose weight that fast” to a person with gastro issues who cant get the nutrition they need.
