Yknow how people think Jasper has the thick country accent? Theyre wrong, Emmett has the thick country accent being from TN and all. Emmett has cowboy boots and listens to country and if he could he’d have a Ford Truck but Rosalie would kill him. Jasper and Emmett communicate in their own language at times.
That Language is called Twang. Alice gets it, being from Mississippi and all. But those are very different dialects of Southern. So she sometimes gets confused.
Emmett wants a Ford. Jasper wants a Chevy. They frequently fight over which is better. Jasper loves the stability and how long a Chevy lasts. When Ford started saying ‘Ford is the best in Texas’, Emmett never let Japser live it down.
Also Jasper would give anything to ride horses again, but their instincts make them too terrified around vampires. Alice has been planning to get some colts and train them to be comfortable around vampires for their anniversary after she took a psychology class.
After Emmett’s newborn year was up, he was determined to hunt like his family did in the backwoods of Tennessee. When he came home with 20 hunting dogs, Emse flipped out. When he came back with the huge shotgun, Rosalie flipped out. But he was determined and did go hunting the old fashioned way. But after learning that he had to spit the gun power out of his system, decided thay wresting was the best way to hunt. Though he did try several times.
The first time Jasper ‘dressed himself’ as a free man, Alice almoat fainted looking at his plaid shirt, Levi’s, work boots and a hat.
He also definitely chewed tobacco before the war and still prefers to drive a stick.
Emmett has tried to take Rosalie two stepping but she preferrs to bump and grind at a club. So sometimes Jasper lets Emmett use Alice for two stepping while Jasper enjoys swing dancing. But everyone hits the floor during the line dance. They actually enjoy the newer line dances like the Cupid Shuffle too. Emmett gets really into it. Jasper preferrs the Cha Cha Slide and cha chas the smoothest due to spending so much time with the Mexican farmers in his youth (most cowboys, especially in Texas, were Mexican and black). When Carnavalito comes on, he just about loses his shit. He gets the most into it and has the biggest smile om his face.
