This is a very real problem, and another of many, many reasons I recommend switching to food puzzles and slow feeders, but feeding from a plate or flat, wide bowl is also a good way to combat this. In the past, I’ve used metal “treat” dishes for regular feeding, like this one, but now I use Beco bowls for wet food, which are not only a great shape, but are sustainably made, biodegradable, dishwasher safe, and have the added benefit of being the only bowls my cat has yet to figure out how to flip.
