Hurry it up
This only happens if the ocean gyres stop flowing because the glaciers melt to the point of significantly diluting the ocean, thus halting the thermohaline circulation (which partially depends on water salinity) that drives the gyres.
The gyres and currents stopping would be an utter disaster. Global warming would only be turned back twenty to thirty years, after which it would proceed at the current rate. The oceans would lose their main means of thermoregulation and many species of animal would have their migrations negatively impacted.
Let’s not rely on the currents shutting down to turn back global warming, please. That would make everything far worse in the long run, especially as there is no known means of forcing the currents to start up again.
