So I’ve got a little HC based off a fic of mine (Mairon’s Lament) and a comment @cataclysmofstars made while reading it.

So, what if Ainur get the urge to sing instead of/along with other, more “human” reactions (ex: crying, laughing, screaming).

The songs of their emotions are a mix of mere expression of feelings and a more intense magical effect that involving sharing their emotions with others? Like if you’re listening to a sad Ainu’s song you might feel like your own heart is breaking. Or if a happy Ainu is singing you might feel a surge of unexplained joy.
