Hey, I want to introduce you to something: Surgical masks. These shits here.

Ugly, right? Yeah, a little. But you know what’s also ugly? Illness.

Yes, exposure to illness is normal and can’t be helped and doesn’t have to be dangerous. But you can make a lot of people’s lifes easier by wearing one when you are sick. And hell, you can make your own life easier.

I was introduced to the concept through anime (i know), but now, about two years later, I am actually actively forced to wear one each time I’m sick, since my mother is in chemo therapy right now and could die from a simple infection.

And let me tell you: It’s not bad.

I live in a town in which you can get stares quite easily, but I did not get any so far, and I walked across my whole town being sick since I had to pick up prescribed medicine. It protects others whose immune system might not work as it should. Old people, infants,and people like me, who get sick every other week.

And hell! They don’t even have to be ugly! I own these and they are great.

And they also offer relief for hayfever!!
