Some of y’all are like “oh, don’t call media you enjoy cheesy, don’t put yourself down like that” – but, like, when I say it it’s not a put-down. I’m not saying “ha ha, yeah, it’s trash” in order to excuse or self-deprecatingly justify my enjoyment of it; rather, the fact that it’s irredeemable trash is intrinsic to that enjoyment. My favourite media is terrible and that’s why I like it.
